Job Description
Our client is a family owned, fast growing business based in Leicester. They are also Europe's largest licensed apparel and accessories suppliers to high street and online fashion retailers. They have over 22 years of experience in the licensing industry and have considerable knowledge and contacts within the licensing arena, that enables them to stay at the forefront of the licensing industry. They have a comprehensive portfolio of key global brands covering everything from homeware through to apparel covering babywear to kids to adult on daywear, nightwear, outerwear, essentials, swimwear and accessories and footwear.
They are now looking for a talented Designer on Ceramics and responsible for the creation of designs that are visually outstanding and push the boundaries of creativity.
Ceramics Designer – The Role
- To produce visually appealing designs across the full range of Products
- Liaise with licensors to create ranges using appropriate style guides and help gain approval for the artwork that they produce.
- Understand the textile design industry to “design for manufacture” ensuring that all designs (graphics and rotaries) are achievable and commercially achievable.
- Ensure that the requirements of key stakeholders are met e.g. Licensors, customers and internal sales teams.
- Produce “mood boards” to show upcoming trends, key themes and design direction
- Create product renders and lifestyle imagery where required
- Have the ability to see things in 3D and understand the scale and size of products.
- Work alongside the design team on seasonal core ranges and across UK and EMEA development
- Help support pitch development where relevant
- Ability to artwork for factory production.
- Other duties as required.
Ceramics Designer – The Candidate
- Must have at least 3 years experience working with Ceramics
- Demonstrate technical competence in mass produced ceramics
- Be able to present design work at various stages to internal and external stakeholders for review and final approval
- Organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Ensure all work consistently meets established brand standards and guidelines
- Able to work quickly and efficiently with excellent communication skills
